RDPlus can work on your PC and here is the minimum recommended hardware:
Number of users |
Equipment for XP/ 2003 |
Windows 2008 to 2019 or 7 to 10 Pro |
from 3 to 5 |
1GBa CPU |
I5 or more, 4 GB and a 2 GHZ CPU |
From 10 |
1 GB un CPU a 2 GHZ
I5 or above |
I5 or above
8 GB
One CPU 2 GHZ |
up to 25 |
4 GB
One CPU 2.5 GHZ
I5 or above |
16 GB
One CPU
I7 or Xeon |
50 and over. |
16 GB
Dual CPU |
32 GB
Dual CPU – SSD Disk dedicated to the system |
For more than 50 concurrent sessions, we recommend using a server farm, using the Load Balancing feature available in the Enterprise edition.
Each server (physical or virtual) handles up to 50 concurrent users.
Comment: The type of hardware you need will depend primarily on what type of resources the applications you want to publish consume the most (CPU/memory/disk). You may want to consider getting a server with SSD drives if you plan to use an application that accesses a database on your RDPlus server, as it will greatly improve performance.
2) Supported Operating Systems.
Your hardware must use one of the operating systems listed below:
- Windows XP Professional or Windows XP Home.
- Windows Vista
- Windows 7
- Windows 8/8.1
- Windows 10 Pro
- Windows Server 2003 or 2003 SBS

- If you want to install RDPlus on a Windows 2008 to 2019 We will not use the
RDS or Terminal Services roles, as well as the RDS Terminal Services license role.
- RDS PLUS does not work with Windows 10 Home edition, it is not supported.
- In Windows Server 2016, a maximum of 15 sessions are allowed for
Remote Desktop access.

3) NETWORK parameters
Remote access (from the area network - WAN)
- An ADSL connection and a fixed public address are recommended. If you don't have a fixed IP address, a dynamic DNS service such as http://DynDNS.org should be installed
